Leal Barceló evokes ancient codices painted by hand by native peoples in Mexico. Working in acrylic on canvas, he adds applications of silver leaf. The terracotta palette suggests the ancient nature of his subject – a catalogue of tribute. Barceló is a member of Callinart Artists.
